The Brown Bread Collective were the first group in Medway to consistently hold official Death Cafes in Medway, starting in 2019. During the pandemic we took the sessions online, providing a lot of relief to people during a significant time of anticipatory grief, grief and loss. Currently the Brown Bread Collective are taking a break from running these sessions and have run a few sessions called ‘MortaliTea’ which focussed on making the most of life whilst also talking openly about being mortal and death.
